We are warmly enthusiastic and imaginative. We see life as full of possibilities. We make connections between events and information very quickly, and confidently proceed based on the patterns we see. We want a lot of affirmation from others, and readily give appreciation and support. We are spontaneous and flexible, we often rely on our ability to improvise and our verbal fluency.
Librarianship goes deep into my roots. I have a stepmother and several aunts who are/were librarians. There is also a deeper connection with someone I never knew…
Lawrence J. Burpee was the chief of the Carnegie Library of Ottawa and president of the Ontario Library Association. He was the first to suggest a national library for Canada.
He was also founding editor of the Canadian Geographic magazine, one of the founders of the Canadian Historical Association and the Canadian Author’s Association. He also served on half a dozen other boards, including the Boy Scouts of Canada.

Todd and Catherine were wed on Saturday in Winnipeg. It was such a lovely wedding. The hot pink theme delightful, the bride and groom were gorgeous, and wow was the weather ever balmy— 24 degrees!
I managed a moment to slip into the Millenium branch of the Winnipeg Public Library. What an amazing space. User-friendly and inviting. Perfect. http://wpl.winnipeg.ca/library/contact/branches/millennium/main.asp
