An interesting blog post found on the Duke University website: Kevin Smith, Duke University’s first Scholarly Communications Officer, discusses why the metaphor of open access as a Trojan Horse doesn’t really work. He explains: “The Trojan horse was meant to deceive, while the open access movement has always been honest and up-front about its goals.”
